One More Grain are pleased to announce shows with some of the legends
of brass-powered New and No Wave, beginning on:
Sunday October 7th when they play with Chik Budo at the Camden Barfly in support of the legendary James Chance and his new French band, Les Contortions.
On:
October 16th, London's White Heat Club sees jazz and noise twisted and
skewed as One More Grain, ably supported by labelmates Shimmy Rivers
And And Canal, perform alongside Ted Milton's shamanic sax puppeteers
Blurt.
Further shows, including one with the mighty Damo Suzuki, are currently being confirmed.
This spate of gigs come as One More Grain prepare for the release of their debut single 'Having A Ball' (somewhat after their debut album) on January 7th 2008, and second long-player 'Isle Of Grain', due on January 28th. OMG are also currently prepping the second single to be taken from 'Isle Of Grain', which will be backed with three reinterpretations of traditional songs from around the globe; thus far mooted for inclusion are 'Scarborough Fair' and Kenyan nuptial standard 'Giriama Wedding'.
